Wall Street Journal l Pageant of the Masters
PAGEANT OF THE MASTERS is a beloved and somewhat-eccentric Southern California tradition that has taken place every summer for the last 80 years. In this unique tableaux vivants show, volunteers don costumes and make-up in order to enact famous works of art. As a companion piece to a Wall Street Journal story about the Pageant, Matthew Rolston was asked to write and direct this behind-the-scenes look at the Pageant and the effort that goes into creating this one-of-a-kind entertainment.
