The stunning fashion film Elemental Beauty was an ambitious under-taking with a more than 50 person crew shooting from pre-dawn to sunset in the blazing heat and swirling wind of the California desert. R-ROLL was there to capture all the intensity as Matthew Rolston directed the breathtaking beauty captured in the film. This documentary showcases the director’s intimate involvement in every single detail of the shoot- from wardrobe fittings to camera placement to the angle of the perfect shimmering eyelash.
