Matthew Rolston: Cyndi Lauper and Chappell Roan at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

We are so proud to see the legendary Cyndi Lauper inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame—a well-earned tribute to one of music’s most original voices. Cyndi has always stood for individuality and joy and is a true artist whose fearless creativity still inspires.

It’s been wonderful to see Chappell Roan carry that torch forward, recreating Matthew’s 1986 portrait moment of Cyndi for Andy Warhol’s Interview Roan’s interpretation at the awards ceremony honors the same wit, attitude, and theatricality that made Cyndi such a force—and seeing the image reborn nearly forty years later is amazing!

Matthew Rolston: Vanitas: Eternity and Dust at Leica Gallery LA

Photographer and artist Matthew Rolston engages in conversation with fellow photographer and artist Sandro Miller to explore Vanitas: The Palermo Portraits, Rolston's latest fine art exhibition series and accompanying limited-edition book from Nazraeli Press. A single, large-scale fine art print from Vanitas will be on exhibition at Leica Gallery, Los Angeles from October 26 through November 2.
